A male motorcycle rider died in a traffic collision in Fulton County after failing to pull over when a trooper asked him to. The fatal accident occurred on Tuesday morning, June 1st. The Georgia State Patrol said the victim collided with a vehicle while fleeing at high speed.
The accident occurred on Mount Para Road near Interstate 75 at 7:15 a.m. According to the GSP, a trooper saw a Honda 600 motorcycle traveling southbound on the highway. When the trooper attempted to pull the motorcycle rider over at Mount Paran Road in Fulton County, he sped off.
When the trooper got to the traffic collision in Fulton County, they found that the motorcycle rider crashed into a Toyota Scion, stopped at the traffic light at Interstate 75 North off-ramp. The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was unable to clear the ramp because of speed as they attempted to re-enter the highway.
The motorcycle rider died from the injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the Scion suffered minor injuries from the airbag. The crash is under investigation.
