Motor vehicle accidents remain one of the leading causes of unnatural deaths in the United States. In the first quarter of 2021, an estimated 8,730 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes in the United States. Families of deceased crash victims can file a wrongful death claim against the fault party.
If the claim succeeds, the victim’s family will receive compensation for the loss suffered. This financial settlement covers economic and non-economic damages. However, not every family member can file a wrongful death lawsuit. Thus, you need to consult a wrongful death attorney.
