A male teenager passed away following an auto-pedestrian accident in Decatur, Dekalb County. The collision happened during the early hours of Wednesday, September 1st. The Dekalb County police said the 15-year-old boy was walking along a busy road.
According to the police, at about 2 a.m., officers responded to the accident in Decatur on Flat Shoals Parkway near Wellington Court. The investigators believe the victim was walking near the entrance to Orchard Walk Apartments when an unknown vehicle struck him. The driver of the car did not remain at the scene, making it a hit-and-run.
The investigators believe that the involved car should have damage to the front passenger side. The teenager’s mother identified him as Quartez Mender and asked the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in the accident.
