Motor vehicle accidents remain one of the leading causes of death in the United States. It could be a single-vehicle crash or involve two or more vehicles. In a single-car accident, the driver involved will rely on their auto insurance coverage to pay medical bills and vehicular repair.
In a two or multiple car collision, the rules of the Georgia fault system would apply. Here, the negligent driver would compensate the victim or victims for their injuries, vehicular damage, and loss of any personal property. For this to happen, the victim commences a compensation claim with the fault driver’s insurer. If the insurer refuses to pay or offers a low settlement, the victim can file a personal injury lawsuit.
