TW. Michael Smith (“Mike”) joined W. Calvin Smith II, P.C. in 2011 and practices primarily in the areas of workers” compensation and personal injury. Mike received his B.A. from Emory University in the Philosophy of Religion and continued on to New York University and Harvard University with Master’s in Social Thought and Theological Studies, respectively.
Mike then pursued a doctorate degree in Philosophy at the University of Chicago with a focus on Kant and German Idealism. Currently, Mike has ABD (“All But Dissertation”) status and plans on completing his dissertation on G.W.F. Hegel in the near future. Mike completed his J.D. at Stanford University and was a member of the Black Law Student Association as well as the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance. Mike enjoys representing injured individuals and workers and has a passion for helping everyday people stay on their feet.
Mike is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and was on the Emory University Honor Council and was an All-American in Soccer at Emory. Mike’s favorite hobby is travelling and he has visited Cape Town, Dubai, Beijing, the Grand Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Israel, Egypt, Copenhagen, Puerto Vallarta, Oslo, Berlin, London, and Paris. Mike enjoys working out in the gym and jogging in his spare time. Mike also loves to spend time with his wonderfully intelligent and loving niece, Maya.
