Marissa Cuffe was born in Birmingham, Alabama but grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Business Administration.
Marissa returned to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University College of Law, where she graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor in May 2017. She also studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England during the summer of 2015, where she focused primarily on international law.
While at Florida State University College of Law, Marissa completed several externships, including clerking at the State Attorney’s Office, 2nd Judicial Circuit and Florida’s 1st District Court of Appeal for the Honorable T. Kent Wetherell. Additionally, she served as Vice President of the International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi and was a member of several other student organizations.
Following law school, Marissa moved to Atlanta, GA and joined W. Calvin Smith II, P.C. as an Associate Attorney. She is an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. In her spare time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and exploring Atlanta.
